It's not an intimidation method taught to scare people into religion, it's a principle taught to encourage good morals.<BR/><BR/>For example, if you taught your kids that there were no punishments to bad behavior, what would stop them from being bad? Hell from a religious standpoint is the consequence of doing bad things (regardless of which religion).
